Francis Ogilvie was a British Army officer who served as interim governor of East Florida from 30 July 1763 to 29 August 1764.〔(U.S. States F-K )〕
Commissioned into the 9th Regiment of Foot,〔(British East Florida, 1763-1783 - UFDC Home - University of Florida )〕 Ogilvie served in Cuba,〔 (A Guide to Historic St. Augustine, Florida )〕 and was then posted to Saint Augustine, Florida, being the ranking military officer stationed at St. Augustine at that time.〔
